Cletop connector cleaner is made for efficient cleaning of optical connectors during installation and service. The cleaner contains a cleaning tape which is pulled forward every time the cleaner is used. The cleaner’s cleaning tape may be refilled.

The tool consists of a plier with replaceable knife trays ranging over five different tube dimensions. The knife trays have two knives so that the tubes are split into two halves, which makes it simple to remove the tubes in a safe manner. When splicing and dropping fibre with loose tube it may be beneficial to split the tubes length-wise over a shorter length, a so-called window cut. 

The wipes can be used for dry cleaning, but are often used together with cleaning fluid for fiber optical connectors of the type TravelSAFE. The wipes come in a dispenser with 90 sheets.
